This is a set of 5 pieces for one bike, made from the same stock clutch plates (new) that have been used since 2005, when this engine was adopted, to the present day.

In the case of this model, we received comments such as:
・The engine won't start in gear.
・It feels jerky.
・I want a half clutch.
so we started customizing based on these requests.

The connection of the new stock disc set of this model is strong, but after a few rides, the connection quickly deteriorates.
If the clutch main body is in poor condition, judder (a grinding noise) occurs immediately.

Soft-type plates do not connect as strongly as new stock plates, but they have a certain amount of half-clutch and are easier to control.
It is not suitable for those who want to replace a new set of discs after only a few rides, for advanced users who want to use a lot of clutch work, etc., or for international class users who want sharp connections.

The hard type plate connects as strongly as the stock.
The cut is better than stock and it is easy to start in gear.
This specification was decided after testing by international A and B class riders.

The combination with a friction disc that has already reached the end of its life due to judder will not have much effect.
The touch of the connection and the amount of half clutch can be adjusted by the brand and type of gear oil.
The ratio of cork type and paper type friction discs can also be adjusted.

The stock plate has a rough surface, and when it wears a little and starts to shine, the connection weakens, slips out, does not disengage well, and judder occurs.
Therefore, the friction disc will be worn unevenly, and if the plate is not replaced at the same time as the friction disc is replaced, it will start slipping soon.

The more grooves, the more oil is supplied.
・Clutch plate grooving and chamfering was one of the elements of "clutch tuning", which is the processing of the clutch itself.Since we receive many requests for processing of only plates, we have been handling them after receiving the requests, but now we have made them one of our items as a pre-processed product.

This processed product does not depend on the frictional force and connection due to the surface roughness of the stock plate when it is new.
It is flat and smooth because it is beveled.
The touch changes less even if there is wear.
The grooves improve the oil passage and reduce heat generation.』
Normally, the friction disc and the clutch plate must be replaced at the same time or the clutch plate will start slipping soon, but with the pre-machined plate, you can use 2 or 3 sets of friction discs.
Although the plate is called a "Groove-cut flattened plate”, in actuality the process is flattening by tapping and bending during the initial manufacturing, then cutting of the grooves, and final deburring and flattening.
