The TMR-MJN36 carburetor for the GSX-R1100 (86-88) incorporates Yoshimura's technical expertise and attention to detail.
Features
- TMR-MJN (Multiple Jet Nozzle): While maintaining a Φ36 bore equivalent to stock, this carburetor achieves overwhelming power gains in the mid-to-high RPM range. The MJN provides ideal fuel atomization even at extremely low throttle openings, resulting in a mild, responsive feel that allows for confident riding even with a stock engine.
- Dedicated Spigot: Designed to shorten the intake tract by positioning the carburetor as close to the engine as possible. The newly designed, ultra-short spigot improves throttle response and high-RPM output while avoiding interference with the alternator and drain bolt.
- GSX-R Early Oil-Cooled Series Dedicated Side Link: Re-engineered from the ground up to address issues such as alternator/drain bolt interference and throttle cable routing. Converting from the conventional center link to a side link was determined to be the optimal solution. Each unit is disassembled, inspected, adjusted, and hand-assembled by experienced Yoshimura mechanics.
Two Specifications Available
- Funnel Specification: Features CNC-machined aluminum funnels with lengths optimized through output testing. A standard model with a style reminiscent of classic racers.
- Power Filter Specification: The dedicated filter adapter includes specific passages to ensure that both the main bore and pilot circuits draw only clean air through the air cleaner. This reduces the risk of ingesting debris while maintaining high-performance racing carburetor characteristics. Note: Cannot be used with RK insulators, as the change in carburetor mounting angle causes the power filter to interfere with the frame.
